BBC - MYTHS AND HEROES: SHANGRI LA: Headwaters of the Sutlej River

A view south across the fantastic eroded edge of the Tibetan plateau and the Sutlej valley, to the Indian Himalaya. This shot was taken on our journey from Kailas to Tsaparang in Western Tibet, and from this point it is possible to see over 500 miles of the Himalayan range - from Dhaulagiri in Nepal to Ladakh in India.
